NC President Deuba calls office bearers’ meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the party office bearers at 3 pm on Tuesday.

The meeting to be held at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha will discuss issues, including the formation of a new coalition government.

NC President Deuba has called the meeting after President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Monday evening called on the parties to form a new government as per Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

The NC is also preparing to discuss the formation of a new government with the CPN-Maoist Center, Janata Samajbadi Party, and other political parties, party sources said.

Prime Minister KP Oli resigned on Monday evening after losing a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives.
