UML’s disgruntled faction announces parallel committees in Pyuthan, Parsa



KATHMANDU: The disgruntled faction of the CPN-UML led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has formed parallel committees in Pyuthan and Parsa districts.

A 61-member committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Bhoj Bikram Budhamagar in Pyuthan district.

Krishna Rayamajhi has been appointed as the vice-chairman of the parallel district committee while Dipendra KC the secretary.

The members include Guman Raj Pulami, Bhagwati Rajbhandari, Dharmaraj Bhandari, Til Bahadur Gharti, R Rijal, Santosh BK, Jhavilal Rahummagar, Jag Bahadur Budhamgar, Him Bahadur KC and RP Rajbhandari.

Faction’s Yuvraj Gyawali, who is also the in-charge of Lumbini Pradesh of the Nepal faction, alleged party Chairman and Prime Minister KP Oli for going against the party ideology.

The faction had on Saturday announced a parallel committee in Parsa as well.

A meeting of party cadres held on Saturday announced the district committee under the chairmanship of Bal Gopal Thapa.

Dissatisfied with Prime Minister and party Chairman Oli’s indifference towards the leaders not subservient to him, the faction led by senior leader Nepal has been forming parallel committees throughout the country.
