Nepal-India border to reopen soon: Deputy PM Pokharel



RAUTAHAT: Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel has said that he will take immediate initiatives to open the Nepal-India border.

Speaking at a program organized at the second Madhani Mahayagya being held at the Archaeological Mahadev Temple, Pataura in Maulapur Municipality of Rautahat on the occasion of Mahashivaratri, DPM Pokharel said that the Nepal-India border, which has been closed since March 24 due to COVID-19, has created hardship as Nepal-India border transits remain closed.

He said that he would take immediate initiatives with the Indian government towards this end.

Minister Pokharel also said that the government was always prepared for the development of Madhesh.

Pokharel added that the government would take an initiative to develop the archeological Mahadev Temple in Maulapur Municipality of Rautahat as an international tourist destination.
