Jhakri’s arrest is another process of dictatorship: Khanal



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has stated that the arrest of Ram Kumari Jhakri was another process of dictatorship.

Khanal said that Prime Minister KP Oli had tried to advance the dictatorship started by dissolving the House of Representatives on December 20.

He said that Prime Minister Oli was trying to curb freedom of speech, adding that it started by arresting Jhakri.

“She should be released unconditionally, ” Khanal said, “If she is not released, I would like to warn the government to face the consequences.”
