NEPSE index down by 16.11 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decreased by 16.11 points to close at 2,526.92 points on the last trading day of the week on Thursday.

The Sensitive Index, which measures shares of large companies, fell by 1.66 points to 463.47 points today.

A total of 16.58 million shares of 206 companies were traded at a turnover of Rs 8.41 billion.

The banking sub-index rose by 10.79 points, development banks by 20.14 points, and collective investment by 0.03 points, while all other sub-indices declined.

The life insurance sub-index decreased by 214 points, microfinance by 128 points, manufacturing by 109 points, and non-life insurance by 207 points.

Similarly, trade declined by 40 points, hotels by 42 points, and hydropower by 25.58 points.
