NEPSE index up by 3.7 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 3.7 points on the second trading day of the week on Monday. The stock market closed at 2,239.42 points.

Likewise, the Sensitive Index rose 0.96 points to 429.39.

A total of 13.56 million shares of 208 companies were traded at a turnover of Rs 5.52 billion today.

The share price of Banking, development banks, hydropower, finance, non-life insurance, life insurance, and mutual fund sub-indices increased today.

The share of non-life insurance sub-index increased the most by 176.93 points and the share of life insurance sub-index increased by 161.29 points.

Trade, hotel, manufacturing, other, and microfinance sub-indices declined today.
