KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has expressed dissatisfaction over the party’s policy on secularism.

Addressing the 14th general convention of the party, he expressed his view that the secularism adopted by the country should be reviewed and changed. “There is no secularism. Religion is free. We have to reject that (secularism),” Dr. Koirala said.

NC General Secretary Koirala has been advocating for Hindu nation since long.

Suggesting a way out from the unemployment and dependency, he remarked that it’s high time for the country to connect young generation with agriculture. “Our potential is young people,” Dr. Koirala said, “Sixty percent of the population is under 40 years of age. It must be put to good use and connected to our next potential i.e. agriculture.”
