KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi has favored the unanimous selection of leadership from the party’s 14th General Convention.
Addressing the inaugural function of NC’s 14th general convention in Kathmandu Friday, Nidhi said election of leadership should be unanimous to the extent possible and if it is not, voting would decide the leadership.
“If possible, let’s elect the leadership unopposed and unanimously. If that is not possible, let’s us compete as I am also a candidate for NC presidency,” he said, adding, “Only the NC believes in the democratic practice.”
Nidhi viewed that the party should focus on the election after the general convention. He envisioned NC’s unified government at all three tiers after the upcoming election.
