Unified Socialist Chair Nepal suggests ex-monarch to form political party or engage in business

KATHMANDU: Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has suggested ex- monarch to form a political party if he wants to nurture his political interest, arguing that there is no future and possibility of the reinstatement of monarchy in the country.

“I want to tell regressive elements that there is no future of monarchy in Nepal. If former King wants to do politics, he can open a political party or he can engage in business,” said the former Prime Minister at the inaugural session of the NC’s ongoing 14th General Convention here in Kathmandu on Friday.

He suggested that all political leaderships have brought together all forces to institutionalize and sustain nationality, democracy, socialism, social justice and prosperity and embrace democratic norms and values in the country.
