UML Chair Oli to try to steer NC along democratic path

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said that it is the UML’s duty to be effortful to steer the Nepali Congress (NC) along the path of democratic values.

Addressing an event organized by UML’s Bagmati Province Committee to felicitate newly elected members of the Central Committee in Kathmandu Friday morning, Chairman Oli said, “I am going to attend NC’s 14th General Convention to wish the party all the best from our side.”

“The NC is one of the oldest parties, which is basically viewed as a democratic party. It is our duty to make sure the NC moves forward embracing democratic values or else we will be alone.”

The UML chair remarked other parties were like water bubbles. “In fact, UML is a political party in real sense and after the UML comes the NC,” he said, adding, “many other parties come and disappear, without leaving much impact.”
