KATHMANDU: Leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Harsha Vardhan expressed the best wishes to Nepali Congress on the occasion of its 14th General Convention on behalf of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP Chairman JP Nadda.

It is exemplary on the part of the Nepali political party leaders for their participation in the inaugural session of the General Convention despite political differences.

“I have not seen such a gesture,” he said adding that Nepal and India share common values.

He also recalled India’s support to Nepal during the devastating earthquake of 2015 in Nepal saying, “Indians were extremely worried when Nepalis were in great trouble due to the earthquake.”
