Let’s book anyone violating human rights: Province Chief Sherchan



POKHARA: Chief of Lumbini Province, Amik Sherchan, has said that anyone violating human rights should be brought to book.

At a programme organised by different organisations including National Human Rights Commission, Lumbini, on the occasion of the 73rd International Human Rights Day at Butwal today, Sherchan opined that it was the responsibility of all to protect human rights.

He laid emphasis on the need of raising voices by all from their respective places to control violence against women as cases of VAW are increasing in the society.

Stating that rights of the Nepali citizens have not been protected even while celebrating the 73rd human rights day, Sherchan added that all should pay their attention on it.

Similarly, Chief of National Human Rights Commission, Lumbini, Santosh Acharya, pointed out the need of solidarity of all in protection and promotion of human rights.
