Minister Hamal, alleged of being appointed from CJ Rana’s quota, to resign



KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gajendra Bahadur Hamal, who was criticized for being appointed from the “quota” of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, has said that he would resign.

Minister Hamal said that he would submit his resignation to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

He asserted that he was resigning on his own wish.

Minister Hamal was criticized for becoming a minister from the quota of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana.

Prime Minister Deuba had inducted Hamal, who is not an elected Member of the Parliament, as the Industry Minister.
