Nepali national football team leaves for Qatar



KATHMANDU: Nepali national football team has left for Qatar to make final preparations for the SAAF Championship to be held in the Maldives next month.

The Nepali team left for Qatar on Friday morning. The coach of the Nepali team Abdullah Almutairi had gone to Qatar last Monday.

Earlier, Nepal had played two friendly matches with India last year.

The first match ended in a 1-1 draw while Nepal lost 2-1 in the second match with India.

After staying in Qatar for 17 days, the Nepali team will leave for Maldives.
