Kathmandu valley witnesses 1,186 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: With 11,186 new cases of coronavirus infection in past 24 hours, Kathmandu valley has seen the surge in the pandemic cases again.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 795 people have been infected with COVID-19 in Kathmandu, 152 in Bhaktapur and 239 in Lalitpur.

Nepal recorded a total of 4,904 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 3,194 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 1,710 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 35 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 2,115 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
