KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has unanimously passed the ‘Standard Weights and Measures (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2078 BS’ today.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki had, on behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, put forth a proposal in the National Assembly session today, seeking the passage of the bill.
Before this, the NA held discussions on the bill including related reports from the Legislation Management Committee.

Taking part in the discussions on the bill, CPN (UML) lawmaker Komal Oli had put forth her opinion on the bill while Minister Karki responded to the lawmakers’ queries.

The National Assembly will next meet at 1 pm tomorrow.
