KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has sniffed sarcasm on the coalition government for keeping quiet on the issue of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

“What are you going to do with the MCC?” Oli asked Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba adding, “There is no mention about MCC in the government’s Common Minimum Program (CMP).”

“Tell me, Mr Deuba, what are you going to do with the MCC,” Oli asked PM Deuba.

He also lambasted the government for not mentioning the issue of Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh, and Kalapani in the CMP.

“Do you have the guts to return Nepal’s land?” he asked, adding, “If you can’t do that, wait for another 18 months. I will do it.”

Meanwhile, he also said he would once again prove his guts by becoming the country’s Prime Minister.

“I have become the country’s Prime Minister on the basis of people’s mandate, not court’s mandamus,” Oli said in his address to the House of Representatives Tuesday.

He went on to urge the ruling coalition to not drag the court into controversy. “Let the history decide,” he added.

In a sarcastic tone, UML Chairman Oli said, “I have no grudges toward the court. The only worry is that the court should not be dragged into the controversy.”

He also came down heavily on the current Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba for being appointed the PM through conspiracy and unholy political alliance.

UML Chairman Oli said, “Sometimes, I feel like I was born to serve this country and the people. I was not born to be a prime minister.”

He added that he will come back through the main door, not through the window or ventilation.
