PM Oli to fly to Sindhupalchowk to take stock of monsoon disasters today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to make an aerial visit to various places in the flood-ravaged Sindhupalchowk district.

A Nepal Army chopper is set to carry PM Saturday to inspect various places and settlements in Sindhupalchowk, including the Melamchi Drinking Water Project. According to sources, PM Oli is scheduled to leave for Sindhupalchowk at 10 am Saturday.

The Prime Minister will inspect the headwork of Melamchi Drinking Water Project and various places affected by the floods and landslides in Helambu village from the chopper.

Chief District Officer (CDO) of Sindhupalchowk Arun Pokharel said all preparations were completed for the inspection of the PM.

The PM is also to address a gathering at Melamchi Bazaar and Ganesh Bagar in Helambu. It is expected that PM Oli will also announce relief programs for disaster-affected people of the district.
