Nepal records 3,749 new COVID-19 cases, 59 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 764 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 3,749 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,874 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 875 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 540 persons in Kathmandu, 125 in Lalitpur, and 99 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 764 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 59 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5,293 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
