POKHARA: A joint bench of Justices Kumar Chudal and Sapana Pradhan Malla is hearing the writ petition filed against the Supreme Court’s interim order to reinstate Krishna Thapa as the provincial member of Gandaki Pradesh.

On Tuesday, Speaker Netra Nath Adhikari had filed a writ at the apex court saying arguing that the Provincial Assembly’s decision to relive Thapa of his post is legal thereby demanding scrapping the interim order.

Provincial Assembly speaker, Pradesh Secretariat and Rastriya Janamorcha have separately filed the writ petitions against the interim order. The apex court is hearing the writ petitions today.

Earlier, a single bench of Justice Chudal had issued an interim order to reinstate Thapa as Provincial Assembly lawmaker.

Speaker Adhikari had relieved Thapa of his post based on the information of RJM.
