PM Oli alleges some factors of defaming govt in COVID-19 medicine procurement



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has complained in the name of probing against corruption in the procurement of the drugs against COVID-19,  an improper connection has been established to defame the government.

Addressing the House of Representatives’ special session in Kathmandu on Monday, PM Oli said that the government is being defamed alleging that it delayed the vaccine procurement for the bargain of commission.

He reiterated that the corruption at the time of the coronavirus pandemic will never be excused.

“In the name of probing corruption in the procurement of drugs against COVID-19, there has been an attempt to establish an improper connection,” PM Oli said, claiming, “Nepal is the second country in South Asia to use the vaccine after India.”

He claimed the government has shown exceptional performance in combating COVID-19 and added that there have been PCR test centers in 86 places.
