Sita Dahal’s health deteriorates

KATHMANDU: The health condition of Sita Dahal, wife of CPN Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has deteriorated, family sources have said.

A photo has been made public on social media in which Sita looks extremely weak. She is accompanied by her husband Prachanda, daughters and her grandchildren in the picture.

Family sources said she is being fed light food through a pipe and her limbs do not move.

Sita Dahal has long suffered from a complex form of Parkinson’s disease called ‘progressive supranuclear palsy’ (PSP), which cannot be completely cured.

She is currently at her Khumaltar residence after being discharged from the hospital three days ago.
