UML’s disgruntled faction announces parallel committee in Parsa

KATHMANDU: The disgruntled faction of ruling CPN-UML has announced a parallel committee in the presence of party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal in Parsa.

A meeting of party cadres held on Saturday announced the district committee under the chairmanship of Bal Gopal Thapa.

According to UML sources, senior leader Nepal administered oath to the newly formed committee members.

Leaders Ghanshyam Bhusal, Nagendra Chaudhary, Ram Chandra Sah, Dinesh Rai and Purushottam Poudel were also present on the occasion.

Dissatisfied with Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Oli’s indifference towards the leaders not subservient to him, a faction led by senior leader Nepal has been forming parallel committees throughout the country.
