Govt fixes support price for wheat at Rs 3,111 per quintal



KATHMANDU: The government has fixed the minimum support price for wheat for this year.

The cabinet this week set the minimum support price of wheat at Rs 3,111 per quintal.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, the government has been fixing support prices of chief agricultural crops to ensure justified income for farmers from the market.

The programs and policies of the government also have provision for announcing floor price for chief agro-products such as paddy, maize, wheat and sugarcane, among others.
