Brazil’s COVID-19 cases surpass 9.6 million

BRASILIA: Brazil registered 51,733 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 9,602,034, the Ministry of Health said.

Currently, 844,984 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals while 8,523,462 have returned home after treatment.

Meanwhile,  with new 1,340 fatalities, the country’s death toll from the virus has reached 233,588, according to Worldometers.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China in Dcember 2019, COVID-19 pandemic has killed 2,348,752 and infects 107,381,494 people until the filing of this news.
