235 corona-infected people receiving treatment in ICU and ventilators; 1,179 in home isolation



KATHMANDU: As many as 235 coronavirus infected people are undergoing treatment in ICU and on ventilators of various hospitals across the country.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, as many as 191 people are currently in ICU and 44 on ventilators receiving treatment for coronavirus pandemic in various hospitals.

The Ministry sources informed that there are three people in ICU and one on a ventilator in Province 1 while there are none on ventilators and ICU in Province 2.

Similarly, there are 79 in ICU and 26 on ventilators in Bagmati Province and 63 in ICU and six on ventilators in Lumbini Province.

Likewise, six people are receiving treatment in ICU in Karnali Province. Sudurpaschim Province has four people in ICU and two on ventilators now.

The Ministry informed that 1,179 people are staying in home isolation. Out of 4,422 active cases in the country, 3,243 people are in institutional isolation now.

Among those staying in home isolation, 176 people in Province 1, 66 in Province 2, 30 in Bagmati, 266 in Gandaki, 429 in Lumbini, 12 in Karnali and 200 in Sudurpaschim Province now.
