Ncell launches ‘Ncell Audio Class’ for students



KATHMANDU: Students with Ncell SIM can now learn various subjects as per their interest anytime, anywhere, easily via audio. Ncell Axiata Limited has launched ‘Ncell Audio Class’, a helpful and new alternative to learning that helps children listen and learn from the audio format of curriculum-based courses using mobile.

This innovative interactive voice response (IVR) based service has been launched by Ncell as a part of its #unpause campaign which aims to trigger the thought of moving ahead by reimagining the future amidst the current situation resulted by the COVID-19.

Ncell is delighted to bring this innovative service for providing curriculum based educational contents through IVR which redefines learning experience through mobile network. The service adds a great value to the customers or students for learning, unlocking their true potential, despite various barriers and circumstances.

In the initial phase, the audio class contains the courses from grade 1-4. With the audio class having focus for students from grade 1-10, Ncell will add more courses of other classes in the service in a phase-wise manner.

In this service, students gain access to multiple subjects including English, Math, Science and Social Studies among others for learning from any location in Ncell network coverage area. Customers can join the audio class easily by dialing USSD code 17144 and following instruction. Customers can also purchase the packs through SMS channel, USSD and web channel.

For the audio class, there are currently two options for subscription plan 3 days or 7 days. In 3 days pack at Rs 7 including applicable taxes, customers get 50 minutes to listen audio of any course that is available in the audio class. Similarly, customers can choose 7 days pack at Rs 14 including applicable tax for getting access in the audio class for listening and learning for 100 minutes.

After consuming total minutes assigned in any of the two audio class packs, customers can again purchase pay per use which costs Rs 7 for additional 50 minutes. As an introductory offer, for first 5 months, Ncell is also giving 7 days of free trial to every new users of the audio class.

Under the same campaign #unpause, Ncell had introduced ‘Ncell Jobshop’, a platform to connect job seekers and job posters in a single virtual marketplace. It has also launched an attractive GGO SIM targeting the women segment.
