NEPSE decreases by 79.79 points today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has decreased by 79.79 points on Tuesday.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 2749.85 points.

A total of 11.91 million shares of 225 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 6.52 billion.

The sub-index of all groups has declined today.

Sub-index of banking sector declined by 35 points, hotel by 117 points, development bank by 297 points, hydropower by 101 points, and finance group by 144 points.

Similarly, the sub-index of the non-life insurance group declined by 464 points, microfinance by 157 points, and the life insurance group by 379 points.

In terms of transactions, Nabil Bank recorded the highest turnover of Rs 298.2 million. The shares of ICFC Finance and Mahalakshmi Development Bank decreased the most by 10 percent today.

Shares of Manushi Microfinance, Sahas Urja, and Tehrathum Power Company increased by 10 percent despite the overall market decline.
