Three accused of gang rape arrested



MYAGDI: Police have arrested three youths on charges of gang rape in the Myagdi district.

Hitman Bania, 24, Prakash Ramdam, 22, and Pravesh Ramdam, 18, have been arrested by the police from different places on the basis of a complaint of raping a woman in Beni Municipality-5, Pulachaur.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Kumar Rai said that one of them was arrested from Rupandehi and two others from Pokhara.

“Investigations are being carried out using modern methods and technology,” he said.

A team was mobilized from the District Police Office to search for the perpetrators as the victim had lodged a complaint alleging that the youth had raped her while she was sleeping alone.
