KATHMANDU: As part of the ongoing agitation against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, the Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has “intensified” the protest programs.

Members of the Nepal Bar Association have urged Supreme Court (SC) justices not to share the bench with Chief Justice Rana.

Similarly, the Bar has also warned Chief Justice Rana not to schedule any case or assign a bench.

The members of the Bar have also decided to wrap black bands on their arms from November 9 to 16 and outside the Kathmandu Valley for three days from November 14 to 16.

They have also decided to issue a white paper on the current state of the judiciary soon.

Meanwhile, the Bar has decided to submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister and political parties to take interest in the problems of the judiciary.

The Nepal Bar has been demanding the resignation of CJ Rana at the earliest.
