Baitadi sees addition of over 3,000 families in first phase of national census-2078



BAITADI: More than 3,000 families have been added to the list of households in the district under the first phase of the National Census-2078.

As per the first-phase preliminary report, 48,867 households have been registered online, said District Census Officer, Surendra Prasad Pant.

A total of 45,000 households were recorded in Baitadi in National Census-2068.

He shared, “As per the first-phase preliminary report, 3,867 families have been added. The number can increase as data of some places are yet to be updated online.”

The Central Bureau of Statistics estimates that there might be 50,000 families in the district, according to the District Census Office.

The households were enlisted in the first phase of the census undertaken from September 15 to October 4. A total of 80 supervisors were deployed in the district for the census. The main census would be carried out from November 11-25, according to the office.

Total 250,898 population were counted in the National Census-2068. —
