KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Anjit Subedi, 22, of Bhotekoshi Municipality-2, Sindhupalchowk, on the charge of looting a gold chain from Budhanilkantha Municipality-10.

He was rounded up for snatching away the gold chain of Sanu Basnet, a local of Akashedhara.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Metropolitan Police Sector, Kapan arrested Anjit with the help of locals while he was decamping with the looted two-tola gold chain.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the looter under control.
