UML Standing Committee meeting underway prior to CC

Nepal-Khanal faction abstains



KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee meeting of the CPN-UML has started at Tulsilal Memorial Foundation in Chyasal, Lalitpur on Monday.

The SC has been called to fix agenda items for the central committee (CC) meeting scheduled for 3 pm.

The meeting will dwell on the draft proposal on the party’s statute prepared by the taskforce, said Central Party secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang.

The leaders of the Nepal-Khanal faction are absent in the meeting.

The CC meeting called for Sunday had been rescheduled for today, citing lack of preparations.
