KANCHANPUR: A process has been advanced to construct a Child Medical COVID Hospital in the Mahendranagar-based Mahakali Provincial Hospital.

In order to prevent and control the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the provincial hospital is constructing a 50-bed children-focused hospital in the fiscal year 2021/22 at the cost of Rs 900 million.

The hospital would provide treatment to the coronavirus-infected children. Arrangement of doctors, health workers, medicines, necessary appliances and equipment as well as oxygen would be well-placed for the treatment.

The Ministry of Social Development under the Sudurpaschim Province has put the construction of a well-equipped children medical hospital on top priority.
