India witnesses decline in COVID-19 cases

NEW DELHI: Southern neighbor India has witnessed a sharp decline in infection cases, of late.

With 34,443 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached  30,743,013.

Similarly, India recorded 470 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 405,527,  according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Earlier, the COVID-19 infection cases had reached up to 400,000 in India.

Currently, 465,636 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 29,871,850 have returned home after treatment.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 4,025,765 and infected 186,306,388 globally until the filing of this news.
