Four arrested with marijuana and brown sugar



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested four people, including a woman, from Siraha along with banned drugs — brown sugar and marijuana.

Police have arrested Neela Mahato, 45, of Nainpur in Dhangadhimai Municipality-11 of the district along with cannabis.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, Mahato was arrested after a police team deployed at her house last night recovered six and a half kilos of cannabis and other drugs.

Similarly, police have arrested Rakesh Kumar Lama, a resident of Gumbachowk, Golbazar Municipality-6, last night with brown sugar.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, police recovered 200 mg of brown sugar from Lama.

A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Golbazar, Siraha arrested Lama with brown sugar.

According to the District Police Office, Siraha, further investigation is underway.

Likewise, a police patrol team deployed from Thadi Siraha Police Post arrested Sunil Giri, a resident of Khairbona in Sakhuwannakarkatti Rural Municipality-4 with illegal drugs on Thursday evening.

Similarly, a police team deployed from the Provincial Police Office, Janakpur, arrested Praveen Sharma, 25, of Dhangadhimai Municipality-10, Siraha, from Golbazar with drugs.
