WASHINGTON: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has recommended Antonio Guterres as the Secretary General for five years.
A meeting of the Security Council held on Tuesday unanimously recommended Guterres’ name as the UN Secretary General for the second term.
The new term will begin from January 1, 2022.
