Nepal records 8,850 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 4,198 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 8,850 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,777 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 73 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 3,161 persons in Kathmandu, 533 in Lalitpur, and 504 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 4,198 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 4,022 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 52 people have succumbed to COVID-19 related death in the past 24 hours.
