Maoist Center expelled ministers sworn in again in Oli-govt



KATHMANDU: Four ministers recently sacked by CPN-Maoist Center have been re-appointed as CPN-UML Ministers in Prime Minister KP Oli’s government Friday. They have been sworn-in by the President this evening.

Issuing a press release on Friday, the Office of President Bidya Devi Bhandari notified that Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekhraj Bhatt, Prabhu Sah and Gauri Shankar Chaudhary have been appointed as ministers on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Oli.

According to the Office, Rayamajhi has been appointed as Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Bhattarai as Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Sah as Minister for Urban Development and Chaudhary as Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security.

They had been executing in the similar capacity prior to being expelled from their former party Maoist Center.

They have been appointed under Article 78 of the constitution. However, they must secure membership to either HoR or National Assembly (NA) within six months.
