CPN (Maoist Center) SC meeting gets underway at Perisdanda

KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) to decide its future course of action is underway at the party office in Perisdanda.

The meeting is discussing whether or not the party should withdraw its support given to the KP Sharma Oli-led government.

According to a Maoist center leader, senior leaders of the Maoist Center and members of the Standing Committee are attending the meeting.

This is the first meeting of the CPN (M) after the Supreme Court restored the UML and the CPN (M).

The Maoist Center has an option of either forming a government with the support of the Nepali Congress party and the Janata Samajwadi Party or supporting PM Oli.
