Hitendra Dev Shakya appointed NEA Executive Director

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Hitendra Dev Shakya as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to promote Acting Executive Director Shakya to the post of Executive Director.

The post of Executive Director was vacant after the term of the previous Executive Director Kulman Ghising expired.

Citizens had been raising voices saying that Ghising, who contributed to ending regular load-shedding, should be re-appointed.
