I am not defeated in UML: Bhim Rawal

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader Dr. Bhim Rawal, who contested against the incumbent Chairman KP Oli in the 10th General Convention held in Chitwan, has claimed that he is not defeated yet.

Speaking at a program organized at Achham’s Safebagar on Wednesday, Dr. Rawal said that he voiced for the party constitution, party agenda and party system and they have been established by his candidacy to a large extent.

“I am not defeated in the recent General Convention held in Chitwan. You, all the leaders and activists of Achham and the thousands of people here, trusted I would speak for the country, for the rights of the oppressed and for equality, I firmly stood for the same,” he said, adding, “More than the position agendas are important. I refused to become Vice-President being nominated by the Chairman, I fought with dignity.”

Rawal also recalled that he and Chairman Oli both had been defeated in the party’s Eighth General Convention held in Butwal.

He further added that Chairman Oli had warned to remove his position of party’s central member after he refused to take the oath of office.

At the 10th National General Convention held at Sauraha in Chitwan, Rawal lost to Oli.
