NEPSE decreases by 53.09 points today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has decreased by 53.09 points on Wednesday.

With today’s decline, the index has come down to 53.09 points.

A total of 6.5 million shares of 226 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 2.66 billion.

However, Nepse, which started declining again with the monetary policy review, has dropped by 276 points in the last nine trading days.

With the continuous decline in Nepse, the transaction amount has also started declining. Finance by 3.3 percent, development bank sub-index by 3.31 percent, hydropower sub-index by 3.12 percent, trade sub-index by 3.73 percent, and banking sub-index by 1.53 percent.

Today, National Hydropower had the highest turnover of 118.8 million rupees while Nepal Telecom Company had a turnover of 109.1 million rupees.

The share price of Standard Chartered Bank has increased the most by 1.94 percent, share price of Malung Khola Hydropower Company by 1.89 percent and share price of Nepal SBI Bank by 1.40 percent.

The share price of Samudayik microfinance has declined the most by 8.54 percent while Excel Development Bank has also declined by 8.30 percent.
