Members registered before mid-April qualify as delegates to UML’s 10th General Convention



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML’s organized members receiving party membership till April 13, 2021, only are eligible to be delegates of the upcoming 10th National General Convention.

An inter-party directive issued by party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli mandated that only organized members, who became party members by April 13, 2021, could be delegates to the general convention.

According to UML Central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang, there were 738,000 organized party members as of April and the number had reached 900,000 now.

The party is set to choose delegates on November 13 and submit details to its organizational department by November 16.

There will be as many as 1,999 delegates in the UML’s 10th National General Convention to be held in Chitwan on November 26 to 28.

A main organizing committee has also been formed under Ram Bahadur Thapa for the general convention.
