Dr. Shashank Koirala announces candidacy for the post of NC President



MELAMCHI: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala has announced that he will contest for the post of president at the 14th General Convention.

Speaking at a tea party organized by NC Sindhupalchok Constituency 2 in Melamchi, Dr. Koirala said that he would contest for the post of party president.

He claimed that he would end factionalism within the party once he is elected president.

Dr. Koirala also said that he would take initiative to revolutionize agriculture in a modern way by increasing the attraction of the youth in agriculture.

He said remarked that his party has noted the issue of floods and landslides in Melamchi and promised to pressurize the government and the party to provide relief in the area as well as build a bridge soon.
