Unified Socialist picks lawmakers to join Deuba govt



KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist has finalized the name of the people to represent the party in Sher Bahadur Deuba-led cabinet.

According to sources close to Unified Socialist, the party is planning to make Birodh Khatiwada the Minister of Health and Population.

Along with Khatiwada, UML Secretary Ram Kumari Jhankri, Prem Bahadur Ale and Krishna Kumar Shrestha ‘Kishan’ are picked as the ministers and Bhawani Khapung is becoming minister of state.

Their names have been sent to the Prime Minister, a leader said.

According to sources, Jhankri will be the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Ale Minister for the Urban Development.

Likewise, Shrestha is getting the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.
