Maoist Center objects to UML logo; to seek legal remedy

KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) has taken serious exception to the newly revised party logo of the CPN-UML.

The Maoist Center has said that it will seek a legal recourse saying that UML’s logo is akin to its election symbol.

UML unveiled its logo with crossed sickle and hammer placed inside the rising sun during its Statute General Convention held on October 1-3.

Maoist Center leader Dev Gurung said his party will move the Election Commission arguing that UML’s logo resembles to election symbol of his party.
