10th session of the Federal Parliament begins today

KATHMANDU: The 10th session of both the houses of the Federal Parliament is beginning from today.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has summoned the meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly for 4:00 pm today  on the recommendation of the Government of Nepal.

The agenda of the session of the House will include the bill to replace the ordinance budget, the long-pending civil service bill, the citizenship bill and various ordinances issued in the past.

There are 32 possible agenda items in the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today. Most of the issues are related to ordinances. Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand is scheduled to present an ordinance on political parties (second amendment).

The ninth session of the House had ended on August 16.
