84 houses inundated as swollen Kankai enters Milan Basti in Jhapa



KANKADBHITTA: As many as 84 houses were inundated after the swollen Kankai River entered the Milan Basti of Jhapa rural municipality-1.

According to Area Police Office, Kumarkhod, the entire human settlement has been inundated after the swollen river entered the Satar village, displaying many families.

“Preparations are underway to relocate the displaced people in a safe area in coordination with the rural municipality”, said DSP Rakesh Thapa of District Police Office, Jhapa.
