UML leaders Rawal and Poudel hold talks

KATHMANDU: While the leaders of the UML Dispute Resolution Task Force are claiming that the party’s dispute is being resolved, a discussion has taken place between Vice Chairman Dr. Bhim Rawal and Deputy General Secretary Bishnu Prasad Poudel. The two leaders met at the Ministry of Finance on Thursday morning.

Discussions are said to be focused on resolving disputes within the party. Discussions between Chairman KP Sharma Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday ended on a positive note.

However, the task force comprising young leaders formed with the consent of both the parties put a lot of pressure on Oli and Nepal to resolve the dispute and unite the party.

After a group meeting and discussions with the members of the task force, Oli and Nepal were able to hold one-on-one talks.

Despite attempts to issue a statement conveying the message of unity through talks, it was agreed to finalize it on Thursday.

A meeting of the task force underway in Singha Durbar will finalize the outline of the UML dispute.
